Wrought Iron

Wrought iron is an iron alloy with a much lower carbon content than cast iron. It is malleable and therefore has often been used alongside other materials such as marble or glass because it could be hammered and rolled into shape. It was often used in lamp design as well as garden features such as gates and fences.

Below are some examples and price guides of Art Deco wrought iron antiques including a pair of Muller Freres lamps and a marble console with wrought iron leg.
